Oregon State scored five runs after the first two batters were retired in the top of the first and coasted to a 12-4 win over Kansas State in the Corvallis Super- Regional. Michael Conforto and Dylan Davis hit back-to-back homers in the first to get the fun started. Ryan Barnes singled in a run, and Jake Rodriguez capped the 5-run first with a 2-run single.
OSU added a pair of runs in the second and two more in the third to go up 9-1 as the hit parade just kept on coming. Kavin Keyes and Tyler Smith both went 4-for-5 as the Beavers pounded 21 hits in support of starting pitcher Andrew Moore.
Moore pitched into the ninth and allowed only six hits while striking out a career-high nine batters. The freshman right-hander tied the school-record with his 14th victory of the season. He's now 14-1.
The Beavers' victory forces a third game Monday night to determine the winner of the Corvallis Super- Regional. The game has been pushed back to a 7:05 p.m. start.
Fox Sports Radio will carry the game starting with the Pregame Show at 6:30 p.m. In addition, Wheels at Work, will originate live from Goss Stadium starting at 3 p.m.
