Burglars leave the kitchen sink, take everything else

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a burglary in Rogue River. The incident was reported to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office on January 18, 2014.  A real estate agency called to report a home listed in the 2100 block of West Evans Creek Road in Rogue River had been burglarized.

A deputy arrived on scene and found all the kitchen cabinets, kitchen appliances, some carpeting, bathroom cabinets, and a hot water heater had been removed. Additionally, some of the carpeting had been torn up and the carpet padding had been hung over windows. The home had just gone through a remodel and everything taken was brand new. It also appeared all the cabinets and appliances had been carefully and professionally removed, not just ripped out.

It is believed the last real estate showing of the home was on January 16, 2014. At that time, the home was in good condition. Total damage to the home is estimated to be more than $20,000.

There are rewards associated with this case. There is a $1,000 Crime Stoppers reward being offered for the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. The homeowners have also offered a couple rewards. For information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect/suspects the homeowners have said they will pay $2,000. If their property is recovered they will offer a $3,000 reward.
The investigation will continue. Anyone with any information can contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 541-774-8333.
