11-year-old Maddison Root has learned that she just can't set up shop next to Portland Saturday Market. She harvested 100 clippings of mistletoe from her uncle's farm. She was selling it to raise money to buy braces when she was told she needed a license to sell downtown.
After Madison's story appeared on KATU News at 5:00 pm on Sunday, a viewer already called to order 30 bags of mistletoe.
"I want to do something for a good cause," said Madison. "I don't want to beg."
